The scent
Steam-distilled from the small seeds inside the cardamom pod, dried before distillation. It is warm and bright at once, a sweet spice with a cool, eucalyptus-like edge that softens as it settles.
It sits well beside wild orange or cedarwood, and a little ginger deepens its warmth. A warm accent for the living room on a winter afternoon, as the light fades.
