The scent
Steam-distilled from the cassia tree, a close cousin of cinnamon with a thick, fragrant bark. Its scent is strong, sweet and woody, a warm, rich spice that stays steady as it settles.
It sits well beside wild orange for a sweeter feel, or beside clove and cedarwood for a deeper spice. A warm scent for the hallway on autumn evenings in.
