The scent
Steam-distilled from the flowers of clary sage, a tall herb with soft, lilac-pink blooms. It is sweet and herbaceous, with a soft, hay-like warmth and a faint floral note that lingers as it settles.
It sits well beside lavender or bergamot, and sandalwood gives it a creamier base. A mellow note for a reading nook on a rainy afternoon, with a stack of books to hand.
Directions for use
Topical: For massage, mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil.
For bath, mix 5 drops with 5 ml carrier oil.
For perfuming, mix 1 drop to 10 drops carrier oil.
