The scent
Steam-distilled from the flower buds of the clove tree, a tall evergreen with glossy leaves. Its scent is rich, warm and deeply spiced, with a sweet, woody depth that holds steady as it settles.
It sits well beside wild orange for a brighter feel, or beside cedarwood and frankincense for depth. A cosy scent for the hallway through autumn and winter, as friends come and go.
