The scent
Steam-distilled from the dried leaves of sweet marjoram, a small, bushy herb with soft grey-green leaves. It is warm and herbaceous, with a soft, woody edge that settles into a mellow green.
It sits well beside lavender or cypress, and a little bergamot brightens it. A mellow green scent for a reading nook on a rainy afternoon, with a book and a blanket.
