The scent
Steam-distilled from the leaves of oregano, a low, bushy herb with small, rounded leaves. It is bold and herbaceous, with a sharp, warm, spicy edge that stays strong as it settles.
It sits well beside cedarwood or lavender, and a bright citrus such as bergamot softens its edges. A punchy herbal note for a sunny windowsill, for anyone who likes strong, green scents.
