The scent
Distilled from the dried rhizomes of the spikenard plant, a small flowering plant with pink, bell-shaped blooms. It is earthy and musky, with a deep, woody warmth and a faintly spicy edge.
It sits well beside lavender or patchouli, and frankincense gives it a resinous depth. An intriguing base note for the living room by lamplight, on long winter evenings in.
Directions for use
Topical: For massage, mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil.
For bath, mix 5 drops with 5 ml carrier oil.
For perfuming, mix 1 drop to 10 drops carrier oil.
