The scent
Steam-distilled from the leaves of the wintergreen shrub, once they have rested overnight in warm water. It is cool and sweet, with a sharp, minty edge that stays crisp as it settles.
It sits well beside peppermint for an even cooler edge, or cedarwood for a drier base, and a little lavender softens it. A bright, crisp scent for the hallway in winter, when the days are short.
Directions for use
Topical: For massage, mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil.
For bath, mix 5 drops with 5 ml carrier oil.
For perfuming, mix 1 drop to 10 drops carrier oil.
For topical use only.
